Black Locust — Natural

Watershed Collection

Black Locust offers the density and weather resistance of tropical hardwoods in a material that is harvested both sustainably and locally. Our Black Locust is sealed for additional longevity while allowing its silver patina to develop naturally.

In close collaboration with SITU, the project’s furniture fabricator, Tri-Lox sourced and milled Black Locust for custom benches on Little Island, a park in the Hudson River.

The Florence Griswold Museum, home to a collection of American Impressionist art, sits on a 13 acre property in Old Lyme, Connecticut that includes gardens, an orchard, and their Artists’ Trail. We’ve restored the walkway on the museum’s extensive property with Black Locust decking.

This playscape designed by landscape play specialist and our frequent collaborator Sara Brunelle of Lu-La uses an assortment of Black Locust timbers to create a playscape that echoes a forest floor.
